We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Layout and Design Engineer to join our growing dynamic team! The ideal candidate will have experience designing and optimizing plant layouts to maximize efficiency, safety, and workflow. This position is ideal for someone with a solid background in industrial design, mechanical design or mechanical engineering, particularly in the manufacturing of complex components like truck bodies. It's a great opportunity for someone looking to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, with a chance to contribute to the layout and design of a large new facility.
Key Responsibilities and Focus:
Plant Layout: Design and layout production lines in a new 67,000 sq. ft. facility. The main goal is to create a layout that minimizes material handling, reduces waste, and maximizes production flow.
Fixture and Tooling Design: Develop new fixtures and tooling for the manufacturing of truck bodies.
Technical Drawings: Create detailed drawings for fabrication (including parts, tools, and workstations) to be sent to the fabrication work center.
Collaboration with Senior Leadership:Work directly with the Senior Leadership Team to improve all work center production processes.
Process Improvement: Assist with optimizing production processes and workflows.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually,negotiable based on experience
